Privacy Policy

Your photos never leave your device. Byteless has no account, no sign-up and no server of its own. Every image you compress, resize, convert, crop, clean or turn into a PDF is processed by your iPhone, and the result stays there until you choose to save or share it.
What Byteless stores
- Your settings and your running total of space saved, kept on the device.
- A count of how many free exports you have used this month, kept in the device Keychain so it survives reinstalling the app.
- Nothing else. There is no database, and no copy of any photo is kept after you leave a screen.
Photo library access
Byteless asks for permission to read your photo library only when you use Free up space, and for permission to add photos only when you save a result. The storage scan reads sizes and dimensions on the device; it never downloads anything from iCloud, and it never deletes a photo without you confirming it. Originals you replace go to Recently Deleted, where iOS keeps them for 30 days.
Advertising
Free users see ads served by Google AdMob. This is the only part of the app that connects to the internet. AdMob may collect a device identifier and information about how you interact with ads in order to serve and measure them; it never receives your photos, and Byteless never sends it any. If you allow tracking when iOS asks, that identifier may be used to personalise ads; if you decline, ads still appear but are not personalised. Byteless Pro removes ads entirely.

Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple. Byteless never sees your payment details; it only asks the App Store whether a purchase is active.
Children
Byteless is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a summary of what changed will appear here.
